So here's this band called "Locomotion", and naturally, many people want to know: Does Locomotion play the song Locomotion (Loco-Motion)?

Well, back in the early days (1987-1990?), yes, Locomotion played the song Locomotion. But with times changing and music/song tastes changing, the band evolved its song list and eventually the Locomotion song was dropped from its set list.

Songwriters Gerry Goffin and Carole King wrote the song in 1962. The song was released and performed by Little Eva, and it went to #1 on the US pop charts.

The song was later covered by other artists as well, most notably Grand Funk Railroad in 1974, and Kylie Minogue in 1988. Ironically, both artists had Top 5 hits with the song.
